James L. Reynolds, PhD.
Senior Consultant
Jim Reynolds is a multi-talented professional with vocational experience
and education in Industrial labor relations, utility line construction,
the behavioral sciences, plant operations and maintenance, management
and skills training, engineering, sales, operations and public
relations.
Dr. Reynolds began his career as an electrical utility
lineman, serving in that capacity for ten years. He has grown to be an
accomplished technical and management consultant to some of the
best-managed organizations in the nation - large and small - service and
manufacturing - union and non-union - public and private.
In 1982 Jim Reynolds founded Trust Management Institute,
Inc., (TMI) a consulting firm dedicated to assessing, developing and
challenging human potential. In the ensuing years TMI has assisted many
firms in application of the Assessment Center method of behavioral
analysis. Through TMI, Dr. Reynolds pioneered the concept of discipline
without punishment and developed the motivational training program known
as Positive Direction. His broad employment background provided the
unique ability to produce and administer both management development and
skills training programs with the employee's perspective in mind. He
accomplishments include:
* Special Representative for The International Brotherhood of
Electrical Workers (IBEW) in Washington, D.C.
* Appointed to the International Labor-Management Conflict Resolution
Task Force.
* Adjunct Professor at three Universities and two Junior Colleges.
* Member of The American Institute of Industrial Engineers, The
American Psychological Association, and is an affiliate of The Sloan
School of Management at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
